Strange Gateway Data Source: PowerBI, Data Source Type = Blank, Data Source Information = PowerBI

Hi,

 

Does anyone know what is it, when is it created and how to add such Data Source to the Power BI Data Gateway?

 

Data Source Name = PowerBI

Data Source Type = Blank

Data Source Information = PowerBI

    did you allow cloud data sources to refresh via your gateway?  Is the dataset in question based on a composite model?

      Hi lbendlin, yes I did. And we are not able to re-connect our report from one gateway to another, because we are not able to re-create this strange connection.

    what's the error message when you attempt the "re-connect" ?

      lbendlin Composite model. Based on dataflows.  The messege is only Cannot be added to gateway.

    Kinda makes sense as the data is already in Azure.

     

    I would recommend you recreate the setup piece by piece in a new dataset (adding one data source at a time), and see where it breaks.

    Just curious if anyone figure it out how to re-create this starnge datasource and how to deal with it? Any luck?
