Standard On-Prem Gateway: Data Sources N/A.
I am bumping up against what I believe are antiquated instructions when setting up a Standard Gateway - and attempting to connect to "data sources".
Is this b/c I NOW need to swallow the Fabric firehose of services? And if so, is there a cost to create a datalake, datalakehouse, dataouthouse, datariverlakehouse, onelakeriverstreamhouse, or whatever immensely confusing names the MS geniuses dreamed up?
Sorry, but this is more frustrating than it should be -- but..... MS!

Gateways will continue to be required, if only to pump data from local on-prem data sources into Fabric.
What are you trying to do and where are you stuck?
