Staging dataflow can't see all tables from extraction dataflow

Hi there,

I guess I'm dealing with a bug at Power BI Service. I'm using a dataflow do load data from database (extraction dataflow) and another dataflow to transform from extraction dataflow to dimensional model (staging dataflow). It was working fine at development, test and production. But out of nothing my staging dataflow can't see all tables from my extraction dataflow and it happens only at test workspace.

Reproduction of the erros bellow.

1. Staging dataflow error

2. M Script from Staging dataflow. It connects to origin dataflow (SERVIDORES) and try to select "DADOS FUNCIONAIS" table, where error occurs.

3. When I select the stage right before the error, only 3 tables are listed from SERVIDORES dataflow (source dataflow)

4. But when I visualize SERVIDORES dataflow directly, Power BI Service lists all tables, including "DADOS FUNCIONAIS".

Trying to create another query

In order to check if the problem is within the query, I tried to create another query to import "DADOS FUNCIONAIS" table from SERVIDORES dataflow at "SIGEP [Teste]" workspace, but as you can see below, only 3 tables as listed.

Trying in another environment

Same error doenst happens at prodution. At production, for example, all tables from SERVIDORES dataflow are listed, so same error doesn't happens.

Anyone could help me understand what is going on? If it's a Power BI Service bug, how could I report this bug to Power BI support?

Hi @hugoss ,

Here are a few steps and considerations that might help you troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

1. Ensure that all tables in your extraction dataflow have the "Enable load" option checked.

2. Try refreshing both the extraction and staging dataflows.

3. Verify that the test workspace has the same permissions and settings as the development and production workspaces.

Hi @v-tangjie-msft ,

Thanks for your reply.

1) Checked and load is enabled;

2) Source dataflow refreshed successfully ...

... but consumer dataflow (staging dataflow), didn't refresh as it can't reach tables from source dataflorw.

3. My user is the owner of both staging (consumer) ...

... and extraction (source) dataflow ...

.... moreover, I'm using Power Platform Dataflow Connector authenticated using my user:

Do you have any other item to be checked in order to elucidate this issue? Would you think it is a bug? How could I report that bug to Power Platform team?

Hi @hugoss ,

If you are a Power BI Pro licensee, you can create a support ticket for free and a dedicated Microsoft engineer will come to solve the problem for you.
It would be great if you continue to share in this issue to help others with similar problems after you know the root cause or solution.
