Specifying the url when linking paginated reports

In the good old days (SSRS) I could have an action event specifying invocation of another report choosing the target report from a pull-down list. In a paginated report in Power BI (as far as I can see) I need to run the target report and cut and paste the resultant url (say https://app.powerbi.com/groups/dd6d5dc1-68b9-47ce-945a-14ef2a76569e/rdlreports/246aa2c2-c0d6-425e-8b...) into the calling report. My guess is that when I promote this to production the address will change completely and I will have to go through that process again (probably changing the group-id as well). Have I got the wrong end of the stick? Is there a simpler way of specifing these links? How do I automate the promotion from dev to prod?
