Sort a Filter in the Filter Pane, excluding the values all together or sending them to the bottom

Hi,

In the Filter Pane, I would like to take the filter for Customer Name and narrow the filter list to exclude the customers whose name begins with '"&'

I know that if I utilize a slicer, I can use the Filter pane to narrow down the results of the slicer to the correct customers.

But I would like to have all of the filters in one place (in the blue filter pane)

 

Another thing to note is that I do NOT want to exclude the customers from the report altogether. I just want to narrow the list of the filter pane.

 

If narrowing down the list of customers in the filter pane is not possible, can I sort the values in a way that makes the "& customers appear at the bottom of the list?

    Don't forget you have report level filters, page level filters, and visual level filters.

     

    You can stuff the Customer column in BOTH the report level filters and Page level filters to create a cascading set of rules.

      If I use the blue filter pane to narrow down the customer list in the blue filter pane, won't I affect the report? I do not want to have the customers on the report to be narrowed, just the list in the filter pane.

        Hi Anonymous ，

        When you set the filter conditions and click "Apply filter" button in Filters panel, it will definitely affect on the display of visual data. In addition, the list of the corresponding field in the Filters panel are displayed based on the existed data in the table. When the data in the table is unchanged, the display range cannot be narrowed.
