Some users are not showing on usage report

Hi,

I have realised my usage report is under-reporting usage for a App we have published.  For example, one of the main people who uses it does not show at all.  There is a thread on something similar but there was no resolution.  Has anyone any comments as to the cause of this?  The user has a power BI licence and permission granted?

There could be several reasons why the usage report for your app is under-reporting usage, even for a user with a valid Power BI license and granted permission. Some possible reasons include:

  1. Delayed report updates: Power BI usage reports are typically updated on a daily basis, which means there can be a delay between when a user accesses the app and when their usage is recorded in the report.

  2. Filtering and customization: It's possible that the report is filtered or customized in a way that excludes certain types of usage or certain users from the report. Double-check the report settings to ensure that all users and usage are being captured.

  3. User authentication issues: If the user is not properly authenticated when using the app, their usage may not be recorded in the usage report. Make sure that the user is properly signed in and authenticated when using the app.

  4. Technical issues: There may be technical issues with the app or with the Power BI service that are preventing usage data from being captured and recorded in the usage report. You may want to check the Power BI support site or contact Microsoft support for further assistance.

@jaweher899 thanks for your response.  I can rule out time delay as I am talking about a User who uses it but is not there at all.  I checked the filtering, nothing is filtered.  I can only think it is to do with authentication, but if the user did not log in, they could not access the app in the first place?
