Some dashboard tiles are not refreshing

Hi, 

 

Most tiles in my dashboard are not being updated correctly when data changes on the report. 

Even when I click refresh on the dashboard the visuals are not updated. 

I have to go everyday into the report (where correct data is shown) and pin the same tiles to the dashboard for data to be updated. 

What is very curious is that one of the tiles in the dashboard does update correctly (a fish tank visualization). 

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

    Hi Anonymous ,

     

    Since the tile cache is not refreshed, the tile is not refreshed. The tiles will be refreshed if you refresh the dashboard URL (browser address bar) after performing the scheduled refresh. Because the tile cache is refreshed. 

    In other words, after the scheduled refresh is completed, you log in to the PBI Service, the reports and dashboards are up to date now.

    Note: The refresh I mentioned above refers to the refresh of data, not the types of visuals.

     

    You may try pin a live page instead of pin tile visual.

      Hi v-henryk-mstf ,

      Thanks for replying. Even after I refresh the url the tile is not refreshed, I've tried it several times.

      I can't pin a whole page because our dashboard is meant to provide a summary from tiles in multiple pages of the report, so pinning a page would make it lose its purpose. 

       

      Here's what happens: 

      - I pin tiles from several pages successfully. 

      -Dashboard looks good, data is accurate and updated. 

      -Next day, I enter the dashboard, data is the same here. 

      -I click on the refresh buttoon in the dashboard, everything is said to be updated but nothing changes. 

      -I click on a tile to enter the full report. 

      -Data on the pinned tiles within the report is different now (changes daily), but the tiles in the dashboard still reflect yesterday's data. 

      -If I want the report to display the updated data, I have to pin the visual once again to the dashboard from the report on a daily basis. 

      -I want the tiles in the dashboard to be updated automatically when data changes in the report, or at least when I hit the refresh button on the dashboard. 

      -Something interesting is that one of my tiles is updated accordingly, like it should be (this is a fish tank visualization).
