Some app's causing users browser to freeze
- 1 year ago
Hi BIanon ,
Thank you for reaching out in Microsoft Fabric Community. Based on the issue you described, where Power BI apps freeze during creation or take a long time to load, there are a few factors that could be contributing to this behavior. Please try the following steps.
-
Users experiencing freezing or slow performance could start by clearing their browser cache and cookies. Once cleared, restart the browser and try again. If possible, test in an incognito/private window or a different browser to see if the issue persists.
-
If your organization is using dedicated capacity, verify whether the memory consumption is nearing or exceeding the limit. Performance degradation can occur if capacity usage is too high. You can check this in the Fabric Capacity Metrics App .
From Microsoft Documentation:
->Power BI apps have a one-minute timeout for publish and update operations. If the app is not publishing successfully, try reducing the number of items included in the app.
->In some cases, large apps may have updates blocked by Power BI Support. Admins will receive a notification through Microsoft 365 communications if this happens. To optimize large apps, consider reducing the number of reports, converting reports to Power BI Project (.pbip) format, or recreating the app as an org app. If an app update is blocked, a message will prompt users to contact Power BI Support for further assistance.
->Some apps may take longer to install, depending on the number of items included and the number of users granted access. It is recommended to publish apps during off-hours to allow enough time for deployment. If users do not immediately see the app, they can refresh their Apps list or restart their browser.
