Snowflake Activity History shows two queries for one dataflow refresh

I've got a dataflow setup which ingests data from a Snowflake view, but when investigating the query history on Snowflake to understand why its taking so long to complete I've noticed that Power BI seems to be making the request twice. Only on the second attempt does it retrive data - why is Power BI doing this?
