All,
I noticed that the performance of browsing Power BI service reports in Internet Explorer has degraded terribly. It is slow, consume alot of CPU resources whenever I start accessing and viewing Power BI reports. It started somewhere early this year and until today, it's still the same. It is super frustrating, time and time again, Microsoft product does not works well with their own ecosystem products.
Please do something about this. Is this some changes, new functions that were deployed this year that caused this? Majority of my users within my organization are using Microsoft Internet Explorer as their standard browser as enforced by policy.
Help, please.
Regards,
Max

Hi @Anonymous ,
Have you cleared browsering data, such as cookies, history, password or other data,as tested here,it works well and doesnt consume much CPU resources.
So pls check the below information:
1.Does your network work well?
2.Is your power bi so much complicated that consumes much CPU.
3.Are there many redundant files in your browser history?---If yes,do clear them.

Hi Kelly,
Thanks for replying.
Did you compare the browsing speed between Chrome and Internet Explorer 11? It is very laggy with IE11. For eg, when I mouse over to a table that highlight the cells, it feels laggy and slow compare to browsing with Chrome which is alot smoother and faster. Edge browser is also performing ok compare to IE11.
We have been using Power BI for more than 3 years and most of my users are on IE by default. So we immediately noticed the difference on all reports performance somewhere in February or March this year. This is driving us crazy. Some users unable to install external browser and some users on older laptop does not have Edge. Our network have no issue, because like I said, Chrome and Edge works perfectly fine.
Please help. Thanks.

Max
