Looking for some help in understanding what we are seeing.
We have a report on the service. Of the items on the report page, only one thing a slicer is causing us to scratch our heads.
When a user comes to the page the slicer may show second level records (unchecked) but not in the correct place. If the item in the slicer is selected (in the wrong location) it disappears. If the user clicks "Reset to Defaults" all the ghost items disappear.
I am assuming this has something to do with a previous state of the report and the current state of the report. I don't have screenshots at the moment, but this happens across multiple users.
Below Project 2 should only be showing up in one of the Categories. Both are present and both unchecked. If you select the "incorrect" location, Project 2 will disappear from that category.
Appreciate any thoughts or insights.
Hi @jnickell ,
How many slicers you are using now in the report? Can it works well on the desktop? If there are 2 slicers in a page, there would have an impact. Please try to change how visuals interact.

I think you're misunderstanding my issue. There are other slicers, but they are not applying any filters.
The issue is that there are items showing in the slicer that do not exist in the model in that location.
They did at one point, but the model has updated and the item should no longer be in that location.
I'm waiting for the issue to re-present so I can do a screenshot.
I finally have an example to show. The sample on the left is Web browser after having run a refresh on the page and "reset to defaults". After both the 215144 entry still exists. I tried a private mode for MS Edge and 215144 is still present. I spoke to another user who was earlier in the day was in the report and adjusted some of the filters, he no longer sees 215144 unless he uses "Reset to default". The sample on the right is Power BI desktop connected to the same dataset.
I believe that "prior to the error condition" 215144 was selected. Now it's no longer available as an option to select. If you were to try selecting 215144 it would disappear.
The filters on the Slicers are that these are Active and within the parent "categories". 215144 is inactive and has been for several days.
