Show as table not keeping format specified in the theme

Hi

when I choose "Show as table" for any visual in the service, the display does not match that specified in the theme for the table.

If I do the same  in desktop it appears exactly as expected.

The main problem is with keeping the column header and first row header background colour.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Thanks

James

We are seeing the very same issue.
Haven't ever seen this problem before.
It works fine in the Power BI Desktop, but loses the header columns in the PBI Service.

Hi

Yes, its not just the Column Headers, but the inner most level on Row headers.

After the inner most row the other Row Headers keep the theme formatting

Its not a data volume issues as the sample below only have 20 rows.

Hi @dawsonj1 ,

It might be because of the data volume.Reduce number of rows in your data check whether the issue persists or not.

Thanks,

Sai Teja

Hi @dawsonj1 ,

Regarding your question, perhaps you can try creating a tooltip page. Place a table visual on the tooltip page to display the data. Finally, set the background color for the table visual.

Hi  @v-zhouwen-msft

thanks for your response , I could create a custom tooltip but I would need one for every visual on every page.

What I dont understand is why the formatting is not being applied correctly on the Service but it works perfectly in Power BI Desktop.

Thanks

James
