Show Items With No data Not Working
- Anonymous8 years ago
jdobrzen,
Do you have bidirectional crossfiltering enabled for any relationships in the data model? What used to happen prior to January 2018 was that columns that had Show Items With No Data enabled would not respect bidirectional crossfiltering, and in this case, visual shows N values for the column with Show Items With No Data in Desktop, after publishing the report to the Power BI Service, that column shows less than N values. However, in February update of Power BI Desktop, visual shows less than N values for the column with Show Items With No Data, which is consistent with Power BI Service. And this behavior is actually the correct one.
If you prefer the old behavior of not having the filters impact the Show Items With No Data columns you can disable bidirectional crossfiltering in the data model.

Lydia
Anonymous There are other report level filters applied. When I apply them to a report build directly in the service using the dataset connected to SSAS, it gives me the same result. I am not shown the day's without data.
However, those same filter are applied in Power BI Desktop and I am able to see the days without data?
jdobrzen,
This issue has been reported internally: CRI 58650675. Will update here once I get any information.
