Sharing reports with PPU
Hi everyone !
I bought a PPU licence in order to share my reports with non-licensed users (but still in my company) using my premium capacity.
I created a workspace using the diamond parameter but my coworkers can't access the report.
When I go to my general parameters, I can't see my premium capacity but I should have a few with m PPU licence, right ?
Coul you please help me ? Thanks !
Hello FX_CDG ,
having a ppu is different than having a Premium capacity.
in order for users to have access to reports without a license, you should have a premium capacity.
having a PPU will grant you access to the premium features and reports created in a ppu workspace can be accessed by PPU users only.
check this blog to see the difference between PPU and Premium capacity

Hi Idrissshatila and thank you for your help !
This is not what I understood reading this page :
Power BI Premium Per User - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
I am working for a small association but need to share my reports (small reports) for 10 or 15 people, readers only. Whats is your suggestion ? Do I have to buy the 4,995$ capacity / month or can I buy just a small capacity ?
Thanks,

Hello FX_CDG ,
no you don't have to buy the premium capacity.
in your situation, you buy a pro license for everyone including you and share the reports with them.
don't create a PPU workspace, just create a normal workspace so that the pro users can access your reports.

Hi FX_CDG
If you are open to third-party solutions, take a look at BI Helper https://bihelper.tech for your requirement.
BI Helper is a popular and easy to use SaaS application that generates and emails user-specific PDFs (with filters and slicers applied). It is secure and scalable, and only needs a single Power BI Pro license. It doesn't require Power Automate or any other component.
