Sharing report with external user
Hi,
I am currently using Pro trial. I know that to share report with non pro users I have to use premium capacity. Although I am using pro trial, I am also a member of premium workspace (I am not the owner of the workspace). In that workspace I'm able to share the report with non pro users in my organization. However when I try to share report with external users, pop up says it's successfully shared, but infact it's not. Users are not getting notification mail and also users that I tried to give permission is not listed in Access page. Therefore they are not able to access to the report via the link that I shared with them.
In the same workspace I see external users who has access to the report (I am able to edit those users' access level but not able to add new user). If I cannot authorize external users to see, how could they have been granted before? Do I have to be owner of the workspace to add external users, is being a member is not enough to share with external users?
Thanks in advance,
Enes

HI Anonymous ,
You do not have to be the owner or admin of a workspace, but you do need to have the rights on your userid. It might be that you do not have the right permissions (even though, as you stated, it appears that you are sharing). It might also be that you are not typing in the name of the person exactly as they are signing in you have to share to the userid that they are signing into the system with - this is not necessarily always the same.
If this still doesn't appear to work, perhaps ask somebody who has successfully shared with the external users - they may have an internal way of doing it at your organization or it may be that you have to officially request a share from soembody at yoru organizaion that has permissions.

Hi Anonymous ,
If it's possible that you unchecked the sending email option accidentally? Or because of the delay, it takes a long time to receive the email.
If the guest user wants to open the report, he can view the shared report in the Shared with me of the Power BI service. (Guest user needs to be pro license or report is in premium capacity.)
