Hi All,
Is there a way that we can provide dataset access to the power users of the organization for building a PBI report, without letting them to modify the original data set, however they can make a report on the data set and export to personal workspace.
What would be the best way to full fill this scenario.

Hi @Anonymous
What you want is to grant your report users "Build Rights". There are several way to do this. When you share a Report, select the option "Allow recipients to build content with the data associated with the Report".
Or , if you share an App, select the same option in the Advanced settings for the Audione (In the new app UI)
Or the "Build permissions" option in the old App UI
Furthermore you can grant Build permissions individually on a Dataset, go to "Manage Permissions" on the Dataset, and add "Build" permissions on an individual basis.
"Build" permissions allow the Report consumer to create new Reports based on the Data in the Dataset, or to use "Analyse in Excel" to access the Data in the Dataset. If the users do not have any other permissions, i.e. they are not "Members, Contributors or Admin" in the Workspace they will be subject to Row Level Security if it is applied to the Dataset.
The users will find the Dataset by going to the "Data Hub" from their Power BI home screen, there they are shown Dataset that they have access to or can request access to.
Hope this helps
