Sharepoint embed - Filter not updating

Hi,

I  just embed my dashboard in my sharepoint using the Sharepoint embed link. However, after embedding i noticed that the filters on my visualisations are not working. The dashboard in my workspace is fine, all are filtered according to what i did, but instead all of the filters in the Sharepoint Embed went to default. I have already ticked the persistent fiters option. May i know if im missing something?

  • If these are slicers/filter pane filters, they will default to whatever they were set to when the report was published. If they're not sticking, select them in desktop and republish (or set them in the web and save the report if you're not using desktop). The "viewer" end of the report likes to save filters, too, but those don't stick between people - that sounds like perhaps where you've set yours.

  • Hi Anonymous -you save the report with the correct filters applied before generating the embed code. Then, regenerate the SharePoint embed link after saving the report with the desired filter state.Clear cache or try in an incognito/private window: There may be a caching issue preventing persistent filters from loading correctly.Manually apply the filters once in SharePoint and check if the persistence kicks in after that.

Test with different user accounts to see if the issue is user-specific. Double-check user permissions and ensure they have access to view and apply filters.

your SharePoint is up to date with all patches, and that you're using the Power BI web part for modern SharePoint pages.

    Hope this helps.
