Shared report not using filters

Hey All;

I've been finishing up my dashboard and report for you management team and have found an annoying "bug".  I've created both with my powerBI account and have shared it to the team.

My dashboard and report look and update great.  However, the shared report doesn't always use the filters set on the report.  It simply shows overall numbers.  For the record, the shared dashboard has been consistantly displaying correct information.

I'm using a SQL direct query for "live" data.

To add some strange to this...lol...  if you press the "reset to default" when viewing the report at app.powerbi.com, the numbers will show valid data.  Simply pressing "refresh" doesn't work.

Sadly, the mobile app has the reset button greyed out, so I can't reproduce this with the app at this time.

  • Hi there

    There is an option in the Power BI Service and the Power BI desktop to disable the "Reset to Default" for the report. Which will mean that it will not save their custom filters.
