Shared Semantic Model Refreshes But Report It's Feeding Does Not

I'm in the process of converting our BI reports to a shared semantic model and running across an issue I can't quite figure out. I built a semantic model in BI Desktop with everything I need for a collection of reports I'll be using it for. The semantic model lives in its own workspace called Semantic Models. I've set the SM to refresh the data daily, Monday thru Friday. This appears to be working as it should with the refresh timestamp showing the daily refreshes are happening. 

I then created a report, also in BI Desktop, using that semantic model as the data source. The report is created successfully and published to a different workspace called Retail. My assumption is that, as the SM refreshes each day, the report it is feeding should also show the updated data but it isn't. The lineage view in the BI service shows what appears to be the correct relationship between the report and the SM. 

In the Admin Portal, I have the Enable semantic models across workspaces option enabled and set to The entire organization.  The report itself is not configured to use a gateway, but the semantic model is and it's working fine. Is there something I'm missing to get the report to update along with the shared semantic model it's using?
