SharePoint embedded report no longer viewable without granting direct access.
You're not alone — this change in Power BI sharing behavior after a recent update has caused confusion for many, especially in organizations using Power BI Pro licenses
Option 1: Use Microsoft 365 Groups for Access
Make sure the SharePoint site members are part of a Microsoft 365 group.
Assign that group access to the Power BI workspace or report explicitly.
This avoids having to grant access one by one.
Option 2: Upgrade to Power BI Premium (Per Capacity)
If you switch to a Premium Capacity workspace, then:
Users only need a free license (no need for Pro).
Embedding becomes more seamless — you can share with a broader audience without individually assigning access.
