Hi Community,
Having problem downloading previous versions of my pbix files from a sharePoint folder. File does not download or open when I click on the link inside Version History Window of a SharePoint Folder.
Is any body else haing the same issue? Is this a known SharePoint issue lately? because it was fine untill this week.
Thanks
Regards
Amine Jerbi

Hi @aj1973
I would then chat to your SharePoint or Network Admin to see if there have been any changes?
Hi @aj1973 ,
You can try troubleshooting the issue by performing following checks-
1.Browser Compatibility- Incompatibility issues between the web browser you are using and SharePoint can often lead to download failures. Different browsers may have varying levels of compatibility with SharePoint, causing certain features, including downloading files, to malfunction.
2.File Permissions - If you do not have the necessary access rights to download a particular file or if the file's permissions have been misconfigured, SharePoint will prevent you from downloading it.
3.Network Connectivity. Poor network connectivity can also play a role in the "unable to download from SharePoint" issue. A weak internet connection or intermittent network disruptions can hinder the download process, resulting in errors and failed attempts.
If still you are unable to download the file you can raise the issue here

Hope this helps!
Hi @aj1973
I have not had any of these issues in the past or recently. What happens when you download a previous version of the file from Sharepoint Online? Can you then open it up successfully?
In fact nothing happens. You see the versions and their links but when you click nothing happens, No downloads or a file opening.

@GilbertQ @v-veshwara-msft In fact, it was probably an internal issue after the new update of SharePoint but the workaround for this would be to right click on the link and open the URL in a new browser to get the download of the version.
Thank you all for your contributions.
