    Hi arock-well,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community.

Reports created using "Visualize the List" in SharePoint are not standard Power BI reports and are designed to work only within SharePoint. Power BI Workspace Apps only support reports that exist within a workspace, external links to SharePoint-based visualizations will not load properly.

So convert the SharePoint-generated report into a full Power BI report and publish it properly. Please follow below steps:

    • Open your SharePoint List, click on Export and Select Export to Power BI (pbix). This will generate a power bi (.pbix) file that can be edited in power bi desktop.
    • Open the exported .pbix file in power bi desktop and modify the report as needed. Now Publish it to power bi service and choose the same workspace where your power bi app is hosted.
    • In power bi service, open the published report. click on File --> Embed Report --> Copy Report Link.
    • Now in the Power BI Workspace App, go to Add Content --> Add a Link, paste the Power BI Service report link instead of the SharePoint-generated link.
    • Save and update the app.

The report will now load correctly inside the Power BI Workspace App because it is properly stored in a Power BI workspace.
