SharePoint External Content Type and PowerBI

I know PowerBI can have a datasource of a SharePoint list.  Well I want to do the opposite, have a SharePoint list read a table in my PowerBI dataset as an External Content Type.  Can this be done?  Basically want to create a column in a list, point it to External Content Type and use a field in a table in the dataset.  Doable?

You can have a PowerApps visual in Power BI that is directly linked to a sharepoint list.  That's as far as you can go.
