I want to share a report on a public website that uses a semantic model to retrieve all the data. My question is: how is the web report updated? Since I am sending data to the semantic model through the API, do I need to click "Refresh" on the report(Power BI interface for update visual objects) and then refresh the web page with the shared report link, or is it enough to simply refresh the web page once the semantic model is updated by the API?

Hi @Luiz2002 ,
Thanks for posting in Fabric Community,
As mentioned by @Greg_Deckler ,
-->If you're using Publish to Web, the report will automatically pull in updates from the semantic model, but it might take a little while for those changes to show up on the web page due to caching. So, while you don't need to manually refresh the Power BI report itself, you might have to refresh the webpage to see the latest data.
-->If you're using Power BI Embedded, the updates tend to show more quickly, as the data is more directly connected to the embedded report on your site. So, changes in the semantic model usually get reflected faster.
For Publish to Web, just keep in mind that updates might take a little longer, so refreshing the webpage manually can sometimes help speed up seeing the changes.
Hope this helps.
If it helps, please mark the helpful reply as solution to help others find quickly and a kudos would be appreciated.
Best Regards,
Vinay.

@Luiz2002 Are you using Publish to Web or Power BI Embedded or ? Once the semantic model is updated, any report that is using that semantic model will "update" automatically. However, things tend to be slower for Publish to Web.
