Hi team,

Could you please provide any update?

As you can see this feature was previously available Sharing Power BI Reports with Selection of Slicers and Filters; What it Means? - RADACAD

As mentioned it is currently impacting our users, so any communication would be appreacited.

Dear team,

Is there anyupdate regards this topic?

@ibarrau it was definitelly feature and if needed happy to provide recording of readiness that we were doing to our internal users.

Let me try to explain scenario again:

As end users (not developer!) you were able to filter report as you needed. Via share button then you had option to select "Share with filters applied" and send link which in case it was opened by another user it kept all filters applied by user 1 on, including Personalized visualization and other stuff.

It was extremely usefull for cooperation in teams.

This functionality was removed with update on sharing experience and there is still not even update if this feature will be ever brought back.

Hi @JorisVoorn ,

The new feature you mentioned seems not to be in use yet. Thanks for yor sharing. Do you encounter any problems while sharing your reports? For your question whether it is no longer share report with custom selection / filtration with other colleagues, the exact answer may not be available until the new feature has been tested at the end of the month. But please don't worry, We will spare no efforts to help you solve the problem if it happens.

Hope that's what you were looking for.

Best Regards,

Yuna

Dear Yuna,

Thank you for your reply. Right now it is impacting 650 of our report users, that we were educating last year on this functionality to avoid copy pasting of data and avoiding missunderstadings. With latets update they cannot use it anymore. Is there at least any ETA so we could at least mitigate frustration that this update caused? Thank you in advance

Best regards

Hi. I might be missunderstanding this but I'm not sure that was a feature at all. You can filter the report, save it and share it with that filter with both experiences. You share what it is saved in the report. It has always worked like that.

What is that you were doing that you think you can't do anymore?

Regards,

Happy to help!

Hi, I was not talking about saving report as developer. PReviously was possible also from user perspective to use report , filter as user and then share report link with selections made by user, which right now with new experience it seems not to be possible.
