Share Ppu with Premier Capacity

Hi,

I've upgraded my workspace to PPU (Premium Per User) I would like to share a report in this workspace with an external company user. The external user is a free user on premium capacity.

Is is possible to share this report with this user or would they also need to have a PPU license too, even though their company has a premium capacity license?

Thanks

    Hi VendettaBob ,

Yes, they also need to have a PPU license too, even though their company has a premium capacity license.

Actually, any user, assuming their organization has not restricted PPU, can access the in-product trial experience by turning on Premium Per User for a workspace. Trial experiences through Microsoft 365 can be enabled through the portal just like Power BI Pro trials are initiated today.

Please refer to the following link.

Hope that's what you were looking for.

    Best Regards,

    Yuna

  • Hi VendettaBob ,

If the user has a Premium Capacity License and/or a PPU license they can access what you have shared - IF you have shared the report with THAT USER'S licensed userid.  Which, if this is an external user then your admin must have also turned on the ability to share with external users.
