Hi to all of you!

I want to send a daily xlsx file via email from a powerBI report.

Could this be done with power Automate?
Do I need my computer to be switched on or is it done in the cloud?

Yes, you can use Power Automate to do so and also Power BI Subscription will help
It will ab all in cloud so you do not need to keep your systems running 24*7

I am trying with the data export from power automate but it only gives me the option to download in PDF.

If I select paginated reports, it allows me to export to xlsx.

Can it be done with report export?

What steps would I have to apply (without report builder)?

Export to excel is limited to Paginated report only, You can use analyse in excel option for other reports.
