Session Expired - not embedded
Good afternoon,
We have clients receiving the following message 'Your Power BI Session expired The current Power BI session can no longer be used to communicate with the Power BI service because of a service modification. You must close and re-open your browser to start a new session.'
I looked at other posts and they seemed to be tied to an embedded feature, but ours is not.
Any help is appreciated-thanks,
Erika

Yes, however, the posts refer to embedded issues which would not be a problem that I have.

No that post does not talk about embedded. Well, not really. It refers to the practice of end users accessing ready made report pages via iframes, without any interaction of the iframe contents with the host website. "Power BI Embedded" is an entirely different animal.

Hi Anonymous ,
If it is not Embedded, it is not very common, what scenario is it caused Session Expired?
Could you please show some screenshots?

Hi _ zhenbw,
The issue is in the Power BI service. The user does have a pro license. It is not someone that should have access to the workspace, but they do have access to the app which is where this pops up.
Since it is just while they are looking at a page in the service, I can't include anything except the error because it is their view of the Power BI service and their app.
It looks like others that are not embedded are also having this issue from the replies.
Thanks,

We are experiencing the same issue, not embedded but then the apps are accessed by guest accounts.
