ServerError PowerBINotauthorizedException

Hello,

I created a dashboard on PowerBI desktop and I wanted to publish it on the web app to give people access to it.

My issue is that once it's published, if I try to access it via the web app I get the following error : ServerError_PowerBINotauthorizedException.

Here is what it looks like :

If I press show more details I get the following message :

"Unable to load data for this visual element

Unable to extract data from this visual element. Please try again later"

I tried recreating the dashboard but couldn't figure how to make it work. It's using data from a Snowflake database, in DirectQuery.

Thanks for your time.

Hi @PabloC_ ,

Publish to web is supported for the vast majority of data sources and reports in the Power BI service. However, the following kinds of reports are currently not supported or available with Publish to web:

  • Reports using row-level security.
  • Reports connecting to data using DirectQuery. Connect using composite or import mode instead.

Below is the official link will help you:

Publish to web from Power BI - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
