Semantic model refresh successful with warnings
Hi Gangasaniravi ,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community Forum.
Hi Natarajan_M , Lodha_Jaydeep and krishnakanth240 , Thank you for your prompt responses.
It is a Power BI semantic model metadata issue, not a data or report‑level error. some object is still referencing an old table/column name "Reporting_period_child[k_date]", But in your model, the table is "Dim_Reporting Period child".
Please try below workarounds.
1. Use Tabular Editor: Open model in Tabular Editor --> Search for"Reporting_period_child" and also search for "k_date". You will find it in a hidden measure, a role, a sort‑by‑column property, a calculation group
and a perspective. Delete or fix the reference.
2. Power BI Desktop: Check manually the model View, Hidden tables ON, Sort by column on all date/period columns, Manage roles, Calculated tables and Calculation groups.
3. If you want a clean model, Create a new PBIX, Reconnect to the same source, Rebuild the model (tables + relationships), Copy measures manually and Publish as a new semantic model.
I hope this information helps. Please do let us know if you have any further queries.
Regards,
Dinesh
