Semantic Models
Hi rschoenlein
Begin by connecting your report to the remote semantic model using a live connection.
• To make changes, convert the live connection to DirectQuery mode. This creates a local model in Power BI Desktop, enabling you to make transformations, add calculated columns, or modify importsWhen publishing, ensure that tenant settings allow DirectQuery connections to Power BI semantic models. If this setting is disabled, contact your Power BI administrator to enable it
