Select all is not available to some users

Some users are intermittently losing the “Select All” option in a Power BI filter dropdown of clients, even though it is configured correctly, and browser cache or browser type have already been ruled out - are there any other solutions to fix the issue? As the result, they can not see their sales in total, but always sales by one client only due to this issue.

@KAMA122712 the filter pane (right hand side of all reports) always contains a Select All option that doesn't need to be configured. If you're talking about the slicer visual, selecting nothing is equal to Select All. Alternatively, you can CTL+click to select all clients if Select All is unavailable.

As for the option disappearing intermittently, are there other slicers in the report and other pages of the report as well? If so, are they set to sync slicers across multiple pages? If the answer is yes, then certain selections in one slicer can impact available options in another slicer. Your users can try resetting all visuals to their default state by clicking this -

hi @KAMA122712

Please check Solved: Filter not showing all the options - Microsoft Fabric Community

Here are some steps to investigate why some options might be missing from your 'Port' filter:

1. Check Data Model Integrity:
- Ensure that all distinct values in the 'Port' column are present in the data model.

2. Verify Row-Level Security (RLS):
- If RLS is applied, it could restrict the data and hence the filter options visible to different users.

3. Confirm Data Refresh:
- Make sure the dataset has been refreshed after any changes to the data source to reflect the latest data.

4. Examine Slicer Configuration:
- If you are using a slicer for filtering, check if it's configured to display all items.

5. Review Permissions:
- Ensure that the user has the necessary permissions to see all data in the dataset.

6. Inspect Data Transformations:
- Look into the Power Query editor to see if any transformation steps are filtering out certain values.
