Scorecard viewership / usage metrics
- Anonymous2 years ago
Hi, MattBossert
As of the last update, Power BI doesn't have a direct built-in feature specifically for tracking scorecard usage metrics, similar to the functionality available for reports. The "View usage metrics" feature you mentioned is mainly used for reports and dashboards.
Although there is no direct capability for scorecard usage metrics, you can consider workarounds by monitoring the usage of the underlying reports and dashboards in the scorecard. This approach isn't perfect, but it provides an indirect insight into how often the scorecard data is accessed. For detailed steps to access usage metrics for reports, you can refer to the following documentation:

Regarding future enhancements, Power BI is constantly evolving, and the team is always working to add new features based on user feedback. While the specifics of Scorecard's upcoming features, including the use of metric tracking, are not always disclosed in advance, plans to enhance metric-level permissions and full row-level security (RLS) support in future updates are mentioned. This suggests that the scorecard field is evolving and may eventually include the use of metrics.
