I have a scorecard with about 6 months of data in it, which I can see being tracked successfully against goals. I need to create a new report based on the semantic model for this scorecard, but whilst I can see the tables and fields that were auto-generated, I cannot see any data, it looks empty. I know the data exists though because I can see it via the scorecard!
The scorecard is based on a report that I created in PBI Desktop.
I am an admin for the PBI Service space where both the source report and the scorecard sit.
I have refreshed the semantic model for the scorecard.
I have also tried to link to the semantic model for the scorecard via PBI Desktop and get the same result; I can see the tables and fields, but it all seems empty.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

@rajendra Thanks for the response. I had confirmed most of what you suggest, but I managed to find a data error in one of the scorecard measures this morning, fixing that seems to have fixed the issue.

Hi @RichN99 what was the data error? I appreciate this was almost a year ago but my semantic model for the scorecard has stopped refreshing and I can't work out why. How did you identify the data error? Thanks!
Hi @RichN99 - you're an admin for the Power BI Service space, ensure that you have access to the data that is being used in the semantic model. The semantic model might be using a different security model (row-level security, for example), or you might not have permission to view the data.
While you’ve mentioned refreshing the semantic model, it’s worth double-checking if the dataset tied to the scorecard itself was refreshed in the Power BI Service.
Ensure that the data is correctly loaded and that there are no errors in the dataset refresh process. Look for any warnings or errors in the refresh history for the dataset.
If the model is quite complex, check if all the relationships between tables are intact. Missing or broken relationships could lead to data not showing in the new report.
Try testing a simple table visual in Power BI Desktop using fields from the semantic model to see if data appears.
If you are working in a Power BI Service workspace with a Shared Dataset, the refresh policy for the dataset might be affecting the availability of data. Verify the refresh settings and ensure the model is set up to refresh periodically.
By performing these checks, you should be able to narrow down the cause of the issue. If the problem persists, consider checking any service messages or logs related to Power BI in the Admin Portal for further details.
