ScoreCard functionality - expiration period is reset to 180 days.

I have been adopting the Scorecard functionality in Power BI since the beginning of April 2023. Recently, we have discovered that when a metric is linked to a report visual, a "Shared View"  for that report is automatically created. This "Shared View"  appears to have an expiration date ,defaulting to 180 days?.

During our further investigation, Microsoft described that each time the linked shared report view is accessed, the expiration period is reset to 180 days. What does "accessed by" mean in this context? Does it only refer to clicking on the link by anyone? Additionally, does this expiration reset apply to everyone who accesses the link, or only to the creator of the shared view? We have the impression that this doesn't apply to regular viewers who visit the link. Could someone confirm this for us? Or is there any other idea for a work around to applied this to the 100+ ScoreCard metrics that we developed without manual action?

It is when the shared link is clicked on and used. I suspect this is so MS doesn't have to keep shared linkes forever. It auto-deletes them 180 days after they were last used, but that 180 day clock resets with each use.

It is only a shared link you create for someone. The main URL for the score card doesn't ever expire unless you delete the score card.
