Scheduling emails to share dashboards

Hi,

I have set up a report and dashboard on Power BI. Published it. Now I need to share the report with a number of recepients daily at a specific time. I do not want to manually login to Power BI Service and manually share the dashboard everyday. Is there a way to schedule the sharing of the report by email so that the email is sent automatically sharing the dashboard?

Thanks,

Amitabh

  • Once you share a dashboard, those people have access to it. You do not need to share it again. You could grab the link and just created a scheduled message in Outlook to send it out at a specific time.

  • Hi amitabhk1971,

In Power Bi service, please create a refresh schedule, the dataset, report and dashboards will refresh automatically according to your schedule. More details, please see: Configuring scheduled refresh. After that, you as the report author schedule the refresh, and recepients will have their data refresh on the same schedule, this thread as for your reference.

As the Greg_Deckler said, created a scheduled message in Outlook to send it out at a specific time as the refresh schedule.

    Best Regards,
    Angelia
