Scheduled refresh failing

Hi All,

Our reports which uses files (.csv and .MSDB) are failing on manual and schedued refreshes, we never received any emails when the refresh failed. when i clicked on the gateway management i see that my datasources are using 2 gateways.

1) How can i make them use only one Gateway.

2) How can i disable one data set.

Please see the below screen shot, the one mapped successfully to a data set "SICKDAT", the one underneath is a test one and we want to disable it instead of deleting it. Please need help.

This is how you can receive emails when the refresh fails

Hi @Anonymous

One Dataset need only one Gateway to refresh and one Gateway can only be in one source. in the image it doesn't seem like the Gateway is configured correctly. what's the architure here? do you have a dataset built on 2 different sources from 2 different locations?

Thanks @aj1973 yes the main data source is the file which is ticked green, and is mapped to the correct gateway. Not sure how the second gateway is showing, how can we removi it ? The second dataset is a test one and instead of deleting it how do we disable it?

@Anonymous

It doesn't matter for now if the second Gateway is there, what matters is to configure correctly the one that you say is green. like here

In your case it looks like the Gateway is not connecting to the on premises.

How are you doing it? where is your Gateway? where is the source?

Thanks @aj1973 the Gateway is running on a remote server. All the other reports are running great except this one. The source is a file located on shared network. It was configured correctly and running fine. My guess is the second dataset which is in red which we do not use.How to disable that

@Anonymous

Go back to your desktop and disable it from there, then republish the report

As I said earlier "One Dataset need only one Gateway to refresh and one Gateway can only be in one source/server"
