Scheduled refresh disabled error wont go away

I got the "Due to consecutive errors, scheduled refresh has been disabled. Please resolve the error on the dataset and then re-enable."

because my gateway was down. I have fixed the issue and re-enabled the scheduled refresh and my reports are refreshing but this error keeps appearing. Now I am getting emails from all my report users thinking something is wrong. How to I get this error to go away? Once again I have the scheduled refresh re-enabled and it is working its just the error notification wont go away.

Hi,@mhawkinsCU

1.Does this kind of problem still exist? It is not excluded that reports and dashboards may experience status update delays caused by system delays.

2.Secondly, you can try to perform manual refresh directly, click the following figure to refresh immediately, and then in the refresh history, check whether the success of the refresh on demand, and then see whether the previous error will still appear.

3.Next, you can double-check your planned refresh Settings to make sure everything is configured correctly. You can choose to turn off a scheduled refresh and then turn it back on after a dozen minutes, which can help reset the system state.

4.Finally, if none of the above fixes the problem, you can only replace the old ones with new reports and dashboards based on your newly uploaded semantic model.

Of course, if you have new discoveries you are welcome to share them with us.

Hi @mhawkinsCU

What happens if you log into the report. edit the report and click on the X button on the right hand side then save the report? Does the error go away?

So I have a dataset and several reports connected to this dataset and 1 Dashboard. I have gone into the PBIX file for the dataset and made edits and saved and republished. The error still appears on all the reports and the Dashboard.

Thanks for the reply from @GilbertQ , please allow me to provide another insight:
Hi,@mhawkinsCU
Regarding the issue you raised, my solution is as follows:

1.Based on the information you have provided, we infer that this is because schedule refresh is disabled, and therefore also automatically disables schedule refresh after four consecutive errors or two months of inactivity for the corresponding report for this dataset.

This is also mentioned in the official documentation, here is a screenshot of the relevant documentation:

Here is a link to the relevant documentation:

2.To enable data set refresh, you can try opening the corresponding report for this data set for some visual interaction, and update the credentials entered for this data set using Edit Credentials to perform a manual refresh to reactivate the scheduled refresh for this data set:

3.Second, on the email issue, you can delete other users' emails or email lists to which you subscribe from the corresponding data set in Power BI. Do this from the following areas in the Power BI Settings:

As I stated in my initail post, the Schedule refresh is working its just the notificaiton error that is not going away. When I say I am getting emails that is from people seeing the error notification.
