Every day for the past 2-3 weeks, one of my scheduled refresh runs on a Report in a premium workspace, has failed at midnight. I cannot figure out why this would be, the scheduled refresh runs successfully 23 other times in the day, it is setup to refresh at the top of the hour every hour. Manual refreshs' work with no problem.
FAILURE DETAILS: The last refresh attempt failed because of an internal service error. This is usually a transient issue. If you try again later and still see this message, contact support.
<ccon>DataSource.Error: <ccon>Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.</ccon>. </ccon>;<ccon>Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.</ccon>. The exception was raised by the IDataReader interface. Please review the error message and provider documentation for further information and corrective action.
Bold above is from the email I receive notifying of the fail. As said earlier, the next refresh is an hour later and runs successfully. The remote host is not restarting at midnight, or performing any other operations that should interfere with the service. Any ideas on where to begin troubleshooting are appreciated.
Hi @Anonymous ,
The transient error and transport closed issues may be related but the transient part is usually on the Microsoft side where the resources were not allocated to the report. I think that you will have to create a Microsoft ticket and have them help you out since that is their side of the equation.
