Scheduled Refresh Error when connecting to custom Salesforce domain

I am encountering a rather frustrating error when attempting to establish a scheduled refresh on PBI Service with a report that uses a Salesforce connection.  A couple of preface details so you can understand the extent of the issue:

  • Our Salesforce domain is a custom Enterprise domain.
  • I can manually refresh without a problem through the desktop client (this is how I currently update the report, but would like to automate that process).
  • I have setup an Enterprise Gateway connection with success to our local SQL Servers already.  I am attempting to use this same gateway for our Salesforce connections.
  • I am an admin on the Salesforce sides of things if that helps.  I have whitelisted the IP ranges that PBI Refresh uses, and have attempted to customize the application OAuth2 settings but maybe not to the extent is needed. Here are some screenshots of the errors I am encountering on both sides of the issue:

Hi, were you able to find a solution? As a workaround, maybe you can try to test your connection with a 3rd party connector. I've tried windsor.ai, supermetrics and funnel.io. I stayed with windsor because it is much cheaper so just to let you know other options. In case you wonder, to make the connection first search for the Salesforce connector in the data sources list:

After that, just grant access to your Salesforce account using your credentials, then on preview and destination page you will see a preview of your Salesforce fields:

SALESFORCE-2.png

There just select the fields you need. It is also compatible with custom fields and custom objects, so you'll be able to export them through windsor.  Finally, just select PBI as your data destination and finally just copy and paste the url on PBI --> Get Data --> Web --> Paste the url.
