Hi there,
I managed to schedule a daily update of my datasets through a gateway. This works perfect. However, the related reports to not update automatically. I was trying to schedule also daily updates of my reprors but I cannot find the corresoning menue. If I refresh the dataset on-demand the corresponding report updates automatically.

Hi @MarcoWS ,
You should know that:
Reports are created based on datasets in power bi service, and it will refresh automatically after its corresponding dataset refresh has been completed. The refresh we usually refer to refers to refreshing the data set rather than refreshing the report, if we want to refresh report, we can use the 'Refresh' button in the report page.
Since you have configured scheduled refresh for this dataset, you can check the refresh history to confirm whether the scheduled refresh has completed successfully.
Note also that the configured refresh time might not be the exact time when Power BI starts the next scheduled process. Power BI starts scheduled refreshes on a best effort basis. The target is to initiate the refresh within 15 minutes of the scheduled time slot, but a delay of up to one hour can occur if the service can't allocate the required resources sooner.
Best Regards,
Yingjie Li

I think it will update after 30 minutes or so.. When you use directquerie in combination with a gateway, this can be fixed. More info:

Thank you. I read this before. However, it doesn't update the report automatically - only when I update the dataset on-demand.
I run the dataset as an import (where do I set it up as a direct qurey?). I learned that with Power BI server you can schedule Report updates but I this must be also possible with Power BI service.
