Schedule Refresh always grey

Hi all,

why it's always in grey? I checked everything, looked at all posts in this forum, but can't find the solution.

Anybody has an idea, how to resolve it?

My pbix file is on shared disk, and another copy is on C: , but issue is still same, whatever a path that I put.

@LuteceFalco Couple question first. Are all the data sources in the PBIX in the On Premises Data Gateway? Did you publish the dataset after you had the data sources created on the gateway?

Second question I didn't understand it.

And also I don't understand this part of problem.

Propose me to pres sign in, if I press it, nothings happend, just start to search and stop.

How to update credentials? I'm new one in PBI and probably I'm doing something wrong somewhere.

@LuteceFalco Click on the underlined "Edit Credentials" for each file in your snapshot... This should bring up another prompt to tie you credentials back to your machine. Otherwise, did you move the files from their original location on your machine?

@Seth_C_BauerThanks for your help. So, I successfully updated all files, it's no more in grey, but I scheduled now three different times to make refresh, and nothings happened, there is no refresh. I changed the informations in few rows in one of Excel files, but nothings change in DataSet in PBIservice.

Here is moy settings.

@LuteceFalco Refresh Now (in the report section) will bring in the new changes. The scheduled refresh is set to run within the hour, there have been issues that the team has been working on with longer wait times, but I believe most of those are resolved. Suffice to say, when things are working as expected you can assume that the refresh will occur within the hour you set, but it won't execute on the exact time you set for refresh.

@Seth_C_BauerGood morning, so, yesterday I finished everything, schedule was prepared, and was successfull, so I just log off from my laptop, and leave another chedule refresh. But this morning, after I log in tom my Windows session, my Gteway connection is "offline", and I tried everything to be online, even reinstalled On premises Personal, but nothing, I'm still offline.

In Mange Gateway, I'm "online, and good to go". I also restarted On-premises Personal, and even my laptop, but nothing, I'm still offline. And I remark that we need to be loged on, never shutdown PC, never loged out for Windows session.  Is it true, or not?

And how to be online now, after all that I already do.

Since this morning, when I was offline in Gateway connection, until 1PM, it's becomed by it self online. Still don't understand why I was offline, and why sudenly change to online by it self?

@LuteceFalco There appear to be some issues around Excel file and refresh posted on the support site here, is it possible you fell into the bucket that would be affected? Otherwise, glad it's working.

@Seth_C_BauerThanks for all your help, and tips, it's work perfectly, with our Excel file which updates every hour. I'm glad that we have a people who are here to help us, I hope so that I can helping someone else, more I progresse in my knowledge in PBI.

My apologies, I mis-read the post. You aren't asking about activating another gateway, but just getting the refresh working.

What is the data source? For sure you need to update the credentials, have you tried to edit the credentials? Periodically this happens and you need to reset those creds. (which is why they are yellow)

@Seth_C_Bauerdata source is .pbix, i tried to put it on shared disk, or even on C: local disk, and issue is same.

I can't edit credentials like I explained uper in my post.
