Schedule Automated Data Exports from a third-party Power BI App

Hello,

I wanted to know what could be alternatives to manually exporting the tabular data of some visuals out of a premium workspace report every month (by filtering).

Exporting Summarized data or Data with Current Layout (for tables) since the underlying data is private. I am not the owner of the report and cannot make/influence modifications to the original report.

I saw this Power Automate workflow "Run a query against a dataset" but I'm not sure if the "Query text" can actually interrogate the dashboard/report (underlying dataset)? Any suggestion is appreciated.

Does anyone have any suggestion on how to download the "Data with current layout"? Any web scraping tool, powershell script, which can help to go to the report page and download it.

Hi @TinyElephant

Yes this can certainly be done.

In my blog post below I explain how to get the DAX query from a PBIX

Which you can then use in Power Automate

Hello @GilbertQ ,

Thanks for the response. However, I do not have edit access (cannot download) to the dataset or report. So, I'm not sure how you can open it in Power BI Desktop and run the Performance Analyzer.
But I can manually download the visual/filtered visuals by Export Data --> Summarized data to Excel as seen in the original post.
