Scatter Plot Play Axis Not Resetting

I'm using a scatter plot with a play axis based on date to show how values have shifted over time. However, once a user has opened the report for the first time and "played" the visualization once, the play axis doesn't reset to the beginning when the user plays it again. Instead, when the user plays it again, the visual plays backwards from the latest date to the earliest, then replays from the earliest to the latest. Is it possible to have the visual auto-reset to the beginning?

Based on my test and observation, we are unable to have the reset play axis to the beginning, the behavior that visual plays backwards from the latest date to the earliest after being played is by design in Scatter chart.
