SSAS MD connection to power BI Desktop and publish to BI Service

Hi all,

I am using SQL 2012 SP2 SSAS , and would like to connect to SSAS MD cube , create reports and publish to power BI service. I am using direct query and getting connection issues when PBI desktop is trying to conenct to cube.

I see some conflicting comments on the web on this, , so i though of coming to the right place to get answers.

Please share the error message. For your test, you can connect to SSAS server via SSMS on your local machine. Also check your port (default port 2383 ) in your Firewall setting.
