SHARING REPORT WITH EXTERNAL CUSTOMERS

Good morning !

As a data analyst for my company, I want to share reports with clients outside my company.

I have a premium license per user, my clients do not have a pro license.

My company will not purchase a premium license per capacity (too expensive), and my workspaces are configured as a pro license.

What solutions are available to me?

Ok, so I can register him in Entra as a guest, give him access via powerbi services; he will receive an email to let him know that a report has been shared with him, he will then be able to subscribe to a free license?
Or can I give it a free license on my own?

So you either need to buy pro licenses for all clients or you buy an Embedded or premium capacity.

Also, if I register my external contact in the Entra ID, does that change anything regarding licenses ?

If you Publish to Web there is no license needed but then the report is public.

For every user you want to give access they need to become a guest user in your Entra ID and need a license, they can get free trials though.
