SAP BW Message Server Connection in MS Power BI Gateway does not work

Hi,

 

We are using SAP BW Application server connection at both Power BI desktop level & gateway level; both works fine.

 

As per request in Idea place we got the connectivity option of SAP BW message server which helps to utilize the load balancing at BW server side. We found it works fine at Power BI Desktop level.

 

But now we found the connection also available at gateway but it does not work from gateway. It gives a error message '

The provider is not support or due to invalid data source. Please check the data source connection string.'

 

Please help.

    HI Anonymous,

     

    Based on your error message, I can only confirm your data source settings is invalid, so power bi can't send valid httprequest to database.

     

    Have you test on your connect statues on device who install the gateway? I'd like to suggest you to confirm the connection status first.
