SAP BW Datasource credentials error - Personal gateway
Hello,
I have a unusual problem for my published report. I have a personal gateway installed on my laptop, I'm on my companies VPN but can't set up my datasource credentials for SAP BW. I can set up my credentials for other on premise datasources like files saved locally on my hard drive but SAP BW just doesn;t want to take me account and passowrd.
The first thing I though of was obviousle that I'm adding my incorrect account and password, but login into SAP via the SAP logon works just fine, so the pass / acc is not the issue.
Any ideas why this is happening?

What is the error message when you enter your credential? Try the credentials in both desktop(datasources setting) and service(Dataset edit credential).

The errors is as follows:
Failed to update data source credentials: The credentials provided for the SapBusinessWarehouse source are invalid.
But I am 100% sure the credentials are correct.
Also, in desktop the refresh works.
Also, the personal gateway is working for other sources ( like files saved locally).
I have the same issue.
Fine to connect to network drives & SQL, but Power BI will not accept credentials for BW.
Failed to update data source credentials: The credentials provided for the SapBusinessWarehouse source are invalid. (Source at cibw3/85/100.)
However the credentials are correct, and work for Power BI desktop.
