Row level security on power bi site
I have a table with email addresses and the territory number the users are allowed to see. I went to manage roles in power bi desktop and put in a new role and entered [UserName]= UserName() and hit OK.
when i publish to the powerbi.com site, and enter in the username into the row level security section of the dataset, everything works fine. the user logs in and only sees the territory they are supposed to.
however, is there a way to automate the entering of the users on the row level security of the power bi site? If i dont add the user to the row level security, they see no data. It seems they have to be set in the row level security section on the site.
Is there anyway for it to just use what is in the table without having to enter it in manually?
sorry, i am trying to learn power bi on my own and dont know the technical terms for things yet.
thank you for the help

No, you have to manually add those members to role. If you have large number of users, you can create a security group on O365 Admin Center including all users, then you just assign this security group to a role.
