Row Level Security - hide table for all but named users
Hi ed_mcdill ,
Power bi allow you to create a office security group to dispatch roles, then you only need to add members to that group to enable RLS roles.(notice: power bi groups not support)

AFAIK, RLS works on data model table records. It is impossible to use RLS to hide table, but you can use RLS to filter all records and keep a blank table there.

Thanks for the response. I've set up a role and am able to hide all rows of the table to members of that role. However my I don't wan't to have to add new members to this role. I would like an exception based role. Therefore if you aren't a member of a role then you will not see the rows of the table, but if you are members of a role then you will see them. It seems the opposite way in which it usually works.

Thanks for trying to help, unfortunately I don't think that I've accurately described my problem. So whilst what you say is very valid it isn't a solution to my question. I keep reading the documenation and the blogs. Cheers Ed
